Despite this being year one for Mark Pope as the Kentucky Wildcats’ head coach, the expectation is not changing
At Kentucky, the fans expect one thing and one thing only: To win National Championships.
Many fans are probably willing to give Pope a pass for year one since he did not get to build a recruiting class from the high school ranks and had to rely on the transfer portal with limited time to build a roster.
However, in an interview with BBN Tonight, Kentucky’s Collin Chandler says the expectation of Kentucky and of this team is to go win No. 9 this season.
“If you ask any of my teammates, the expectation is to hang another one of those banners behind us. That is the expectation at the University of Kentucky.”
Pope knows exactly what this program is about and knows what the expectation is of this fanbase. It is cool to see the players already understanding the stage that Kentucky is.
